My Current Makeup Go-To Products
We all went through that stage in high school where we wore WAY too much eyeliner.. no? Just me? Hm. Regardless, I think we can all agree that the make up we use has changed many times throughout the years. I've personally gotten to the point where I feel very tied to certain products and have used them regularly for quite a while now. I love hearing about the products other women use so I thought, why not share mine as well?
Here are my every day, go-to makeup products:
1. I do not use a primer (sorry, Nikki Tutorials) so I go right in with my base. I'm in between two here for my every day face and they are Glossier's Skin Tint and Physician's Formula's Super CC. I use the shade G9 in Glossier's Skin Tint and, honestly, it's not for you if you like full (or even medium) coverage. It's very light! But it does make my skin looks so "glowy" and healthy and generally gives it a bit of life. Plus, I make up for the coverage with my concealer.
The second option I rotate between--Physician's Formula's Super CC--is a CC cream and I'd say medium coverage. You can find it here on my Amazon shop! I like it for days when I want a bit more coverage than what my Skin Tint gives me. It still leaves you with a "glowy", healthy looking base. Plus, being a CC cream, it has all those added benefits for your skin health.
2. My (and many others') holy grail concealer is the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. I actually didn't like this product when I first tried it because I thought it dried out my under eyes. But it turns out I was using way too much powder (duh) and it wasn't the concealer's fault. This stuff covers a multitude of sins and sleepless nights. It's long lasting both in wear and in terms of needing to replace because you have to use so little each day--it's that full coverage. I use two shades: 12N Fair Neutral (when I want a brighter look) and 22B Light Beige when I want it to match my natural skin tone.
3. To set my face I've become partial to Glossier's WOWder. I use shade G11-G12. This is a super fine powder that never looks cakey! Like all of Glosser's products it is vegan and cruelty free. I also love the no mess container it's in.
4. During the warm summer months I religiously used Glossier's Cloud Paint for color on my cheeks. (My favorite shades are Puff and Dusk.) However, I've gotten back to a long time favorite of mine and that is Milani's Baked Blush in Luminoso. You can find it here on my Amazon Shop! Along with being a beautiful pink/peach color, as it's name suggests it gives your cheeks a bit of a glow as well. Some days I skip the highlighter all together because I feel like this blush does enough. It has reigned my favorite blush product for over a year now!
5. Another singular favorite of mine is in the highlighter category and that is Physician's Formula's Butter Face Highlighter in Pearl. You can find it here on my Amazon Shop! This shade is so perfect for my skin and because it's kind of a cream/powder highlight it looks so natural without remaining sticky like true cream or stick highlighters do. Can't recommend this one enough.
So there you have it! I'd love to know if you use any of these products as well or if you have any go-tos that I should try out!
